Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri (FPNO) invites applications for its Part-Time National Diploma (ND) Evening and Weekend programmes for the 2023/2024 academic year. Candidates must meet the specified entry requirements and complete all application procedures before August 31, 2023. The application fee is N12,000.

Candidates interested in the ND Part-time (Evening and Weekend) programmes must first secure a 2023 JAMB part-time registration number from any JAMB office or accredited JAMB CBT centre. Once acquired, this registration number should be used to finalize the admission application process.

Important: Failure to obtain and use the JAMB part-time registration number will result in the candidate’s ineligibility for admission into the ND part-time (Evening and Weekend) programmes.

Evening Programmes

For evening aspirants, the following schools and their respective courses are available:
1. School of Business and Management Technology (SBMT)

Courses under SBMT include Accountancy, Banking & Finance, Business Administration & Management, Marketing, Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Office Technology & Management, Public Administration, Co-operative Economics & Management, and Taxation.
2. School of Industrial and Applied Sciences (SIAS)

Offerings under SIAS encompass Food Technology, Science Laboratory Technology, Maths/Statistics, and Hospitality Management.
3. School of Environmental Design Technology (SEDT)

Courses available include Architecture, Building Technology, Surveying & Geo-informatics, Estate Management, Urban & Regional Planning, Quantity Surveying, and Arts and Design Technology.
4. School of Information Communication Technology (SICT)

Available courses are Computer Science and Library & Information Science.
5. School of Agriculture & Agricultural Technology (SAAT)

Courses include Fishery Technology and Agricultural Technology.
6. School of General Studies (SGS)

Under SGS, candidates can opt for Mass Communication.

National Diploma (ND) Part-Time Entry Requirements

To ensure a smooth application process, prospective students are advised to meet the following requirements:Five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained at not more than two sittings in WAEC/NECO or NABTEB (O’level Examinations).
Candidates are required to obtain a JAMB Part-Time Registration Number from a JAMB Office or JAMB Accredited CBT Centres.

For more specific entry requirements for each course, candidates are encouraged to visit the Polytechnic’s official website at www.fpno.edu.ng. Please note that candidates with Nov/Dec O’level results of the year of admission for ND part-time programmes are not qualified to apply.
Navigating the Application Process

To aid candidates in their application, follow the steps outlined below:



Visit the school’s website at www.fpno.edu.ng, navigate to the “Application form” link under the student’s menu, and choose ND to proceed.
Fill out your Biodata in the form, generate an invoice and take note of the invoice number.
Make a payment of ₦12,000 (Twelve Thousand Naira) only at the Federal Polytechnic Nekede Microfinance Bank or any bank of your choice on the Remita platform, using the RRR number on the generated invoice.
You may also opt to make payment using your VERVE, VISA or MASTER CARD. If choosing this option, you will be required to fill in the necessary card details to process the payment immediately.
Return to the school’s website, click on “application form”, and complete your application process. Ensure you submit your data as requested and print out your acknowledgment slip.
If you processed your payment using your card, you will return to the portal immediately to print your receipt and acknowledgment slip.
The application procedures MUST be completed on or before midnight of 31st August, 2023.

Note: Candidates can start and complete the process from any location in the country, thus minimising unnecessary trips to Owerri for the purpose of completing the form.
