The CyberGirls Fellowship Program 2024 presents an unprecedented opportunity for young women in Africa to forge a career in the dynamic field of cybersecurity.





This one-year, cost-free fellowship is dedicated to equipping girls and women, aged 18-28, with in-demand cybersecurity skills. The program not only focuses on technical training but also emphasises mentorship and real-world work opportunities. Its ultimate goal is to enhance the socio-economic status of its participants within Africa and globally.

Comprehensive Cybersecurity Education

The CyberGirls Fellowship offers a structured learning path beginning with the fundamentals of cybersecurity and progressing to specialised areas. As a fellow, you will have the opportunity to explore various domains, including:

Cloud Security

Critical Infrastructure Security

DevSecOps

Digital Forensics and Threat Intelligence

Governance Risk and Compliance

Incident Analysis/Response (SOC Analyst Level 1)

Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing

Cost and Support

A Fully Funded Program

The fellowship is entirely free. All costs associated with visas, transportation, and accommodation for compulsory out-of-country events are covered by the foundation. While assistance is provided for visa procurement for optional events, the fellows are expected to bear any related costs.


Eligibility Criteria

Open to Aspiring Cybersecurity Professionals

To be eligible for the CyberGirls Fellowship, applicants must:



Be female, aged 18-28, as of March 25, 2024.

Hold citizenship and reside in an African country, with a keen interest in cybersecurity.

Possess proficiency in English and have completed high school/secondary school.

Be capable of handling the rigours of an intensive technical training program.

Have consistent internet access and commit fully to 8 months of intensive training.

Not currently work in cybersecurity or hold a major cybersecurity certification.

Not be engaged in any similar tech fellowship or boot camp during the program period.

Note: Individuals with disabilities that do not hinder computer usage are encouraged to apply.
