The QuestBridge Scholarship is one of the most well-known high school scholarships in the country. QuestBridge College Prep Scholars can be found all over the country, thanks to over 50 QuestBridge college partners.
These scholarships enable low-income students to attend prestigious universities. QuestBridge provides resources to juniors and seniors in high school and continues to support them throughout college.
The QuestBridge National College Match and the various QuestBridge scholarships available to high school juniors and seniors will be covered in this guide.
We’ll also go over the QuestBridge application and how you can become a QuestBridge finalist. Finally, we will examine the QuestBridge scholarship requirements as well as the QuestBridge school list that QuestBridge Scholars can attend.
What is QuestBridge?
The QuestBridge Scholars program began with eight Stanford University students. Marc Lawrence and Michael McCullough, the founders, wanted to give low-income California students access to a high-quality medical school education.
The program quickly expanded into a residency, with more than twenty medical students participating each year. When Ana Rowena Mallari joined the program board in 1994, SYMSP became Quest.
It began to include leadership and community outreach training for first-generation college students at this point.
What Kind of Scholarships Does QuestBridge Have?
QuestBridge Scholarships are divided into two categories:
1. QuestBridge College Prep Scholarships
Unsurprisingly, many QuestBridge College Prep Scholars advance to the QuestBridge National College Match to become QuestBridge finalists.
This program is intended to provide assistance and college scholarships to individuals who are frequently ineligible for other awards.
2. QuestBridge National College Match
The second is the QuestBridge National College Match, which offers full scholarships to QuestBridge college partners.
During the QuestBridge application process, a student must match with one of the QuestBridge schools. When they do, that student will be granted early admission as well as a QuestBridge Scholarship to cover the entire cost of college.
High school seniors are eligible to compete in the QuestBridge National College Match. QuestBridge applicants, on the other hand, must meet certain financial eligibility requirements in order to apply.
