Federal University of Lafia (FULAFIA) students were set free from gunmen. on the the night of Dec 6. gunmen kidnapped some students who reside in a close community nearest to the school called Gandu community .
The case was reported to the police command in Lafia and it was dismissed saying that “We have not received report of kidnapping in the state “. After confirming the release of the kidnapped students in Lafia, the head of information of the school ,reported that the eight students were release at about 8:00 pm on Sunday and medical examination has properly carried out and also counselling had been done .
the institution in collaboration with the state government had made a provision for security around the university to avert a recurrence.
