Job Title: Warehouse Manager

Location: Mushin, Lagos

Purpose of RoleThe Warehouse Manager works to optimize warehouse operations, ensure high customer fulfilment rates and on-time delivery.
The role is responsible for planning, leading, organizing and controlling of warehousing in an efficient, quality controlled and cost-effective manner.
In summary, it requires being a team player, organized, logical, and thriving in a fast-paced environment.

As the Warehouse Manager, You willSupply Chain Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive warehouse strategy aligned with the company’s business objectives, including order fulfilment and efficient alignment with logistics.
Inventory Management: Implement inventory control strategies to balance stock levels, increase turn over, reduce carrying costs, and minimize obsolete inventory situations.
Forecasting and Planning: Work closely with sales and procurement teams to create and maintain accurate forecasts, which are essential for efficient inventory and logistics planning.
Logistics and Distribution: Oversee the efficient and timely distribution of orders to customers, optimizing transportation, warehousing, and order fulfilment processes. Determine the best logistics and 3PL vendors for road, air deliveries.
Quality Control: Improve quality control across the supply chain in collaboration with the quality control team.
Cataloguing and Space Management: Lead optimum utilization of the warehouse space; Ensure storage and handling of all materials and finished goods adheres to standard palletizing, stacking and storage requirements.
Cost Management: Identify cost-saving opportunities in the supply chain, monitor expenses, and implement strategies to reduce operating costs while maintaining quality.
Stakeholder Management: Working closely with cross-functional departments to ensure smooth operations and internal customer satisfaction.
Technology and Systems: Utilize the ERP and data tools to streamline processes, improve collaboration, and enhance decision-making.
Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing warehouse team, providing guidance, coaching, training and performance evaluations.
Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement within the supply chain and implement best practices to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Reporting and Analytics: Generate regular reports and key performance indicators to measure the performance of the supply chain and make data-driven decisions.
Compliance: Be accountable for warehouse compliance requirements (warehouse stock cycle counts), meet and/or exceed Safety and quality requirements and drive ownership among team members.

Must-Have for the PositionProven ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously through excellent project and time management skills.
Balances strategic thinking with execution and commitment to continuous improvement.
Proven experience (5-7 years) in supply chain or warehouse management, preferably in the FMCG industry.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field; a master’s degree is a plus.
Relevant professional certifications.
Demonstrated ability to make thoughtful, data-driven decisions and achieve strategic goals in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical and organizational skills.
A proven track record of driving efficiencies and cost savings.
Proficiency in supply chain and warehouse management software and ERP systems.
A cross-functional leader who fosters collaboration and inspires trust throughout the team.
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
